2011 SEASON REVIEW:

Arizona Biltmore The Quest Showing January 15th 2012"The Quest" showing and reception and Barrett Jackson Auction

Auction Week in Arizona held special significance for the Chip Miller Charitable Foundation (CMCF) this year. Through two fundraising events held at the Arizona Biltmore Hotel and at Barrett-Jackson Auto Auction, the charity raised almost $50,000 to fight Amyloidosis. Amyloidosis is the disease that took Chip Miller’s life in 2004.

The week began with a gathering of racing’s elite at the spectacular Arizona Biltmore for a special viewing of “The Quest,” a documentary by Director Michael Brown. In attendance were such racing dignitaries as Bob Bondurant and his wife Pat, Lyn St. James, Arie and Meike Luyendyk, Jim Jeffords, Paul Reinhart, Dick Guldstrand and Joe Freitas.

This event was coordinated by Chip Miller's son, Lance, in his honor. Chip had a vision to take his prized possession back to big race in Le Mans France 50 years after the vehicle won its class back in 1960. Ironically enough his goal was to include Mr. John Fitch, now 92 years of age, in this incredible 50 year reunion. John Fitch has agreed to be a part of this endeavor and plans for the 1960 Corvette have been set to have the vehicle shipped overseas...< MORE >
