2023 was a great year for the Chip Miller Amyloidosis Foundation (CMAF), having humbly received more than a half million dollars via various forms of donation in support of Amyloidosis research and awareness.  The support comes from general donations, but also from events and contests too.  Each year the CMAF hosts a Surf Fest, the Slide for Amyloid, and the Taste of OCNJ in Ocean City, New Jersey, plus automotive themed functions in Carlisle, Pennsylvania too.  In addition, the CMAF has made its Corvette Contest a cornerstone fundraiser for the past few years.  Now, as 2023 turns to 2024, the CMAF is excited to share that the Corvette Contest is back with an all-new twist!

Now through September 29, 2024 at 11:59 PM, the contest portal is open for enthusiasts who want to make a masterfully restored 1959 Corvette theirs.  Plus, this isn’t just any Corvette, it’s a 1959 Restomod AND comes direct from the Miller family collection.  The random drawing for its winner takes place at 12 PM on October 5, 2024.  This time frame also lines up with one of Pennsylvania’s largest automotive flea market events; Fall Carlisle driven by Hemmings.  Fall Carlisle 2024 is October 2-6 at the Carlisle PA Fairgrounds.

This 1959 Restomod Corvette is stunning at every angle and car auctions across the country have seen top dollar returns on similar consignments.   Chip Miller, namesake of the CMAF and family man who was lost to Amyloidosis in 2004, had a passion for solid axle Corvettes similar to this one.  In fact, this vehicle was his granddaughter’s favorite.

The LS1 engine is a 5.7L all-aluminum small-block Chevy engine with approximately 400 horsepower. Not only does this Restomod look great, it drives wonderfully too, plus it’ll stop on a dime.  Built on a SRIII frame/chassis that features a round-tube design, it was engineered for superior strength and rigidity. The three-dimensional network of round tubing creates a space frame that resists the twisting forces applied during hard cornering and acceleration. Also, the SRIII package is hundreds of pounds lighter than the original chassis and suspension used on the 1953-62 Corvettes, adding to the upgrade benefits.

“My father’s favorite Corvette was the solid axle Corvette, better known as the C1. This Restomod Corvette is a C1, yet has many of the great luxuries you’d want from today’s vehicles.” noted CMAF president and Corvette enthusiast Lance Miller.   “Our family have owned many Corvettes, and this is a favorite of many, including my teenage daughter,” added Miller.  “If it’s so popular for us, we thought why not use this car for this year’s Chip Miller Amyloidosis Foundation Corvette Sweepstakes,” continued Miller.  “One lucky person may win this beautiful car and it all begins with your donation.  Please donate today to this amazing cause and help us make a difference as we combat this horrible disease that took my father from us in 2004.  I miss him dearly.”

Donation amounts vary for entry into the sweepstakes.  The base option is $25 and yields 18 tickets.  There are $50, $100, $200, $350 $500, $1000, and $2,000 options too.  Each option includes exponentially more entries into the sweepstakes.  After the prize winner is notified in October, they’ll have the option of the 1959 Restomod or $140,000 in cash.

Enter today and not only secure a chance to WIN 1959 Corvette Restomod, but to also help the CMAF raise funds and awareness!  The chance to donate and get sweepstakes tickets, as well as details on all events supported by the CMAF can be found online at www.ChipMiller.org or via social media and the CMAF Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/AmyloidosisAwareness.
